Elena Rafart
The artist Elena Rafart invites us, through her work, on a journey to diverse landscapes and settings across the planet, where we can pause to observe the species of flora and fauna that inhabit them. Her paintings are an ode to admiration, reverence, and the surprise that accompanies the experience of living nature with stillness, with awareness. She invites us to immerse ourselves in natural beauty, yet she does not speak solely of an aesthetic beauty, but of a form of latency, of a way of being, of an inevitably beautiful presence.
Her background as a biologist already speaks of a life dedicated to the knowledge, preservation and dissemination of the natural world, which she now materialises in the form of art as an organic consequence of her journey. It is in artistic expression that Elena has found her most revealing language for all that nature brings her, and which she now shares with the world so that everyone can take home a piece that evokes that marvel we call Life.
